Pacific Waves

Volume 1, Issue 1

In this first edition of There Will Be False Teachers Among You, I want to talk about a cultic movement that is sweeping through many churches all over the world. They have called it  the "Third Wave".

The "First Wave" was supposedly the beginning of the Pentecostal movement that came out of the teachings of faith healer William Branham and the Azusa Street meetings. The "Second Wave" was the widening of Pentecostal doctrines and practices into charismatic churches. The "Third Wave" is the attempt to introduce these

doctrines into every denomination.

A minority of Pentecostal and charismatic churches have remained true to the Word of God and have rebuked those who follow the doctrines of the Third Wave. But the vast majority have fallen into it.

For detailed information on the subject of the Third Wave, please visit our web page on the Internet at the web address on the address page of this newsletter.

Third Wave
Doctrines

All those who are in the Third Wave do not believe in every one of the following doctrines. However, these doctrines are allowed to be taught in their churches and many people have now accepted these doctrines as the truth.

Major Third Wave Doctrines include:  Gnosticism, Eastern Mysticism, Semi-Pelegianism, Kingdom Now, Latter Rain, Manifest Sons Of God, Joel's Army.

Teachings of the Third Wave

These teachings are not found in and cannot be supported by the Bible, God's ultimate truth.

The Third Wave teaches that ...

… Truth is best known by direct communication between God and certain chosen apostles and prophets.

… If you "feel" truth it is more important than "knowing" truth.
