Fundraisers

Pie Auction - The parents or volunteers bring pies to a social after a church function. Each pie is then auctioned off to the highest bidder. If you have a favorite pie and there is only one of them the price gets quite high. After the pies are auctioned off, people tend to share their goodies and a great social event takes place. The youth group earns some money and people's tummies are happier.

Indoor Activities

Bag Of Goodies - Gather all kinds of foods -- ones that are quick to open and eat. For instance: baby food, fresh produce, chips, crackers (small box), etc. Wrap each item loosely in tin foil so it cannot be identified easily. Form two teams and choose as many players as there are food items for each team and have them stand behind a line 10 ft. away from the bags. One member/leader holds the garbage bags with these items in them. The first youths behind the line have to run up to the bag, pick something out by feeling, not

them to different places (suitably "guerrilla type" driving), and have tour guides rescue them. These are just suggestions. The fun is in the plot and variations that YOU make up! Depending on your resources, e.g. we had animal spotting in a darkened church, an Arabic market at a friends house with sheets on the ceiling, candles, money to buy things, being ripped off by vendors etc. But YOU make the plot and the tour. Kidnapping and drug busts are good, so is jail. Try to give them an experience of what missionaries go through in some countries. Tie in a talk along this theme.

Outdoor Activities

Egg War - Have guys pair up with guys and girls with girls  and assume the "camel fight" position (one person riding on the shoulders of another). Each  bottom guy has a raw egg attached to his head with masking tape. Each top guy is given a Nerf bat, or a rolled up newspaper.
